The place where Mustafa Ismet Efendi Mosque is located
today was originally devoted to be a Naqshbandi Tekke
(Dergah, dervish convent) by great Sheikh Mustafa Ismet
Efendi in 1853 for those who follow his path, with the
condition that the place would serve as a home for
zikrullah (remembrance and invocation of the attributes
